Die französische Metal Band, die den seit 2001 aus rechtlichen Gründen statt Godzilla das Originalwort für diesen Begriff verwendet, „Go-dschi-ra“ ausgesprochen, hat vielfach die Themen Erde und Umwelt aufgegriffen.

Der Text über den amazonischen Regenwald ist auf zwei entscheidende Zeilen herunterzubrechen:

Gekoppelt mit einem Video, dass die Live-Performance mit Szenen aus einem Projekt namens Híbridos, The Spirits Of Brazol“ von Pricilla Telmon und Vincent Moon kombiniert ergibt sich das dystopische Bild des in Vernichtung befindlichen Regenwalds. Sehr wirkungsvoll.

  • Die Band hat eine umfangreiche Kooperation mit der NGO Sea Shepherd – ein Schiff der Organisation war zeitweise nach der Band benannt, siehe Artists for Sea Shepherd (Abrufdatum 25.08.2026).

Ein weiterer umweltbewegter Extinction-Song. Hier wird nichts in Aussicht gestellt, keine Hoffnung verbreitet, sondern schlicht beschrieben, wie es [nach Wahrnehmung der Songwriter] gerade jetzt passiert – wenn es zu einem Atomkrieg käme.
